1. Description of Service
AstroRoast is an entertainment app that offers users a personalized
daily horoscope based on their zodiac sign, written in a humorous,
satirical, and biting tone (a "roast").
The App currently includes:
- An authentication system (account creation via email/password).
- Display of a daily horoscope, a humorous piece of advice, and the current date.
- A feature to share the horoscope on social media.
- The option to enable or disable daily notifications.
- A profile screen allowing for logout and account deletion.
The App is currently 100% free.
2. Eligibility and Account Creation
- Minimum age: The Application is intended for an adult audience, due to the satirical humor used.
- Data accuracy: You agree to provide accurate information when registering (valid email address and astrological sign).
- Account security: You are responsible for the confidentiality of your password and for all activities associated with your account.
3. Disclaimer (Humor & Entertainment Warning)
IMPORTANT: AstroRoast is an application dedicated exclusively to entertainment. Horoscopes and advice are generated using artificial intelligence technology. Although the tool is configured and tested to deliver a humorous and satirical tone—and the content is moderated by the publisher—these texts should under no circumstances be taken seriously or interpreted as medical, financial, legal, professional, or personal advice.
The Application’s publisher cannot be held liable for any emotional reactions, life decisions, or actions taken by the user as a result of reading a horoscope or advice provided by AstroRoast. You use the Application at your own risk and with a healthy dose of tongue-in-cheek humor.
If any generated text appears inappropriate, the user can quickly report it directly within the app using the “report this roast” button.
4. Intellectual Property & Sharing
- App Content: The text, designs, logos, and horoscope generation algorithms are the exclusive property of AstroRoast.
- License of Use: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, and revocable license to use the App for strictly personal, non-commercial purposes.
- Social Media Sharing: You are expressly authorized (and encouraged!) to share screenshots of your daily horoscopes using the built-in sharing feature. However, any malicious alteration of the text intended to defame a third party or damage AstroRoast's image is strictly prohibited.
5. Account Termination and Deletion
- By the user: You may stop using the Application and permanently delete your account at any time directly from the "Profile" screen. This action will result in the deletion of your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- By the publisher: We reserve the right to suspend or close your account at any time, without prior notice, in the event of a violation of these Terms of Use or misuse of the Application's services.
6. Service Availability and Warranty
The Application is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
Although we use modern technologies (React Native, Expo, Supabase), we
do not guarantee that the Application will be entirely free from errors,
bugs, or interruptions.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Application
(or any part thereof) at any time, temporarily or permanently, with or
without notice.
7. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms of Use at any time to reflect changes to the Application or to regulations. By continuing to use the Application after the changes are published, you accept the new Terms of Use.
8. Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with French law. Any dispute relating to the use of AstroRoast shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Paris, France.
